Have any of you readers ever seen these Person to Person interviews? I stumbled upon them today, and I’m loving getting to see Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart together.  The second video gives you a glimpse of their home, and leaves you wanting more.

I am craving springtime and all of the wonderful things that come with it. These photos from a 1957 McCalls Magazine exude everything I’m loving right now. Anyone else interested in sailing?

I have been long been a lover of Lulu DK. Shown is one of my favorite collages of hers, and I cannot say enough incredible things about it. The black polka dots, handwritten alphabet, yellow florals, and vintage photos make this an absolute stunner. I strongly suggest that, if you are not already an owner, you purchase her coffee table book immediately.

Trina Turk Boutique- Los Angeles

Located between the Grove and the Beverly Center, the 3300 square foot building housed a feather trim factory in the 1940s. The space has been transformed into a ladylike and airy modern take on a traditional department store salon. Angled plate glass windows from floor to ceiling provide both natural light and a view of the Hollywood Hills. Luxurious elements such as nude moire wallpaper, blush pink tile, inlaid patterned carpet, plaster chandeliers, faceted glass door pulls and Carrara marble surfaces combine to create an elegant atmosphere likened by one visitor to, being in a glass of pink champagne.

Eighty blown glass globe light fixtures add a modern touch, creating the appearance of large bubbles floating over the central area of the store. The vintage/modern mix apparent in both the clothing and interiors by Kelly Wearstler.

Trina Turk Boutique- Palm Springs

This store is housed in a 1960s Albert Frey designed building, an iconic piece of property that represents the history of Palm Springs. Opened in 2002, this swank resort interior was designed by Kelly Wearstler. The vintage/modern mix of the Wearstler interiors—combining 1970s Palm Springs style with the luxury of a vintage department store–makes a perfect showcase for the Trina Turk “California chic” line.

The main retail area is restrained shades and textures of white, ecru, and reflective surfaces are accented by bursts of color provided by the prints in the clothing. Shag carpeting, pebbled tile, and floral foil wallpaper all create a neutral backdrop for Trina’s collections displayed in mirrored alcoves. Crystal beads hanging from the ceiling divide the main retail area from the back vestibule dressing rooms.

Trina Turk Home- Palm Springs

Designed by Phil Smith, this store has utilized color and detailing to create a modern and chic interior. With white epoxy floors, yellow walls, and a white relief wall of a Trina, this store is anything but meek. The walls are lined with pillows, and housewares, that are just begging to be injected into the shopper’s home.

I am an avid lover of All Things Blue, and adore that there is a blog dedicated to them. Go ahead and stop by, because its the perfect place to peruse when you’ve got monochromatic hues on the brain.

In looking back through it today, I could not help but notice the incredible inspiration assemblages. These gatherings of flowers, fabrics, tassels, and found objects reminded me of Kelly Wearstler‘s vibe trays. As I have been trained inspiration boards are often a layering of sketches and materials, but these are taking it to another level. I am a newfound lover of  the vibe tray, and I wanted to hear your thoughts. Yay or nay?

While I’m not too far off from speaking about Hanneli, I spotted this photo on her blog and I am absolutely smitten. The dress by COS is such a modern spin on the little sailor dress, and I am dying to snatch it up. I don’t suppose there is a place to purchase this in OKC? No? Didn’t think so.
